LT 336 on Aldeburgh Beach

LT336 On Aldeburgh Beach
Watercolour 38 x 56cm (Sold)

There are several wooden boats on Aldeburgh beach, but most of them are no longer
seaworthy. They are painted and maintained by Mr Alan Burrell, who is thus preserving
some of the town's heritage. There are one or two exceptions, such as the boat seen here,
which is still in regular use. This painting was shown in the R.I. annual exhibition in2015,
at The Mall Galleries, London, together with the Ibizan fishing boat shown lower down.
